What are the opening hours?
We are open every day from 10am to 6pm. Last entrance at 5pm. A visit takes about an hour and a half.
The museum is closed on 25/12, 01/01 and from 05th – 09th January 2026.
On 24/12. and 31/12. we close at 4 pm (last admission at 3 pm).

How much does a visit cost?

Can I bring my backpack inside?
No, large backpacks are not allowed during the visit. We have a small open cloakroom. Leaving your backpack behind is always at your own risk.

How do I order a combination ticket?
At the end of the reservation, you can add extras such as a combination ticket with Frietmuseum

Are dogs allowed in the museum?
No, dogs are not allowed in the museum.

Is the museum accessible for wheelchairs and prams?
The museum is only partially accessible for people in wheelchairs.
There are four steps at the entrance; we do not have a ramp. Inside, there are also several steps and our lift does not go to the fourth floor. Electric wheelchairs and rollators are unfortunately not allowed.
Prams are allowed but it is not recommended to take them through the museum trail.

Is it obligated to book your ticket in advance?
For groups of 15 people or more, or for private workshops, it is compulsory to book using the reservation form.
For individual visitors, it is not compulsory but recommended. The museum only has a limited number of places and on busy days these sell out quickly. Please note that this ticket guarantees your entrance to the museum but is not a fast pass. This means you will have to queue up anyway

By train to Choco-Story Bruges
Travelling to Bruges by train? Bruges railway station is 20 minutes on foot from the museum. You can also take a bus for a quick connection to the city centre.
By bus (public transport in Bruges)
From the train station, take bus line 2 towards the city centre. Get off at the Stadsschouwburg stop. From there, it is just a few minutes’ walk to the museum.
On foot in Bruges city centre
Choco-Story is within walking distance of Bruges’ main market square. A visit to the museum is perfect to combine with a stroll through the historic centre.
Parking in Bruges city centre (by car)
Coming by car? The nearest underground car park is Parking De Biekorf.
There is a small parking area right in front of the museum, but it is usually full and parking is limited to a maximum of 2 hours.
Access for groups (coaches and buses)
Large coaches are not allowed to park in the city centre of Bruges. Groups can use the coach parking at Bargeplein, about a 20-minute walk from the museum.
It is possible to request permission from the Bruges police to drop off visitors in the city centre.
